Considering the liminality of memory and the uncanniness of digital technologies, Home in the Valley presents a digitally reconstructed home that Freedman visited on a family trip in 1998. Using only his memory as a blueprint, Freedman furnished the home with digital assets sourced from the internet and arranged them in carefully rebuilt rooms. The resulting images are uncanny still lives that suggest a strange human presence in a digital environment.
